The last week of UEFA Champions League soccer brought a lot of excitement, making many fans ecstatic about this week. We’ll provide you with every bit of information about the best odds, bets, and, of course, some of our predictions to give you more insight into the upcoming matches. Without any further ado, let’s talk about the games.
Paris Saint-Germain vs. FC Bayern
This game was an absolute thriller from the previous week as we watched one of the most exciting matches in the UCL in the past few years. The French side won against the Germans by 3-2 as Mbappe, Neymar, and Keylor Navas made it happen for PSG. Bayern absolutely dominated with the ball as they had 31 shots with 12 on target. On the PSG goal, Keylor Navas had other plans as only two of those went past him. He gave everything to the team, and it paid off.
We could clearly see Robert Lewandowski’s absence, considering he would be way more clinical than Eric Choupo-Moting, who scored only one goal. On the other goal, Manuel Neuer had a shaky game which is very unlike him. He conceded three goals as six shots came from PSG, and five went on target. The French side made the most out of their chances as Marquinhos scored a goal before leaving the pitch injured, and Kylian Mbappe scored a brace. The Brazilian star, Neymar, also had a fantastic game as he provided two assists for those three goals.
What can we expect from the 2nd leg?
Well, the German side will use all the firepowers available as they need to score at least two goals to go through. Although, they will need to be very cautious as PSG gave them some problems from counter-attacks. With Robert Lewandowski still being out due to injury, we’re going to need a more clinical Bayern than in the first leg.
This match will be played on the 13th of April at 3 pm (Tuesday), and every neutral fan will be hoping to see lots of goals. The odds for Paris Saint-Germain in this game are +199, the odds for a draw are +321, and the odds for a Bayern win are +123.
This leg could definitely go either way. That’s why we’re not predicting a win for either side. Our best bet for this game would be over 3.5 as we believe the German side will go with everything they’ve got. The odds for this are -125.
Chelsea vs. FC Porto
Chelsea faced Porto last week at the Ramon Sanchez-Pizjuan Stadium in what seems a comfortable 2-0 win for the Blues. It wasn’t very comfortable as Chelsea’s goalie was one of the highest-ranked players in the game. The Portuguese side had twelve shots with five on target, while Chelsea took their chances with half the shots and three on target. Mason Mount scored the first goal in this game. It was a fantastic turn and finish, which Agustin Marchesin couldn’t save. FC Porto’s midfielder, Otavio, was also one of the best players in the 1st leg. The good thing for Porto is that Sergio Oliveira, who’s one of the best players for the Portuguese side, will play the 2nd leg as he missed the first one. The English side will definitely look to keep their lead, as Porto needs at least two goals to go through.
What can we expect from the 2nd leg?
As previously mentioned, Chelsea will look to defend their lead as Tomas Thucel knows how to do so. The English side is the closest one to go through to the semi-finals, but don’t let that fool you. Porto isn’t going down easily. We could clearly see their fighting spirit against Juventus in the 2nd leg when they managed to go through after extra time.
This match will be played simultaneously as the PSG vs. Bayern one, and we know that most neutral fans won’t be watching this one. The quality is just too much at the other game. This games’ odds for Chelsea are -113, +279 for a draw, and +338 for a Porto victory.
Just like the game above, we’re not predicting a win for either team. It is too risky. However, we know that Chelsea will be trying to keep their lead without doing anything stupid. That’s why we’re suggesting an Under 2.5 goals bet. The odds for this bet are -115.
