Pittsburgh Penguins vs. Boston Bruins
The Penguins will face the Bruins on the First of April at 7 pm (Thursday) as the 3rd seed of the East Division will play against the 4th. The Pittsburgh Penguins come into this match in great form as they’ve won their previous four games while the Bruins beat the Devils by the narrowest of margins. The Boston Bruins played four less games than the Penguins, but the Penguins also have five more wins than them, calling for an interesting matchup. The odds for this game are +106 for Pittsburgh and -112 in favor of Boston, which means the oddsmakers call for a pretty even matchup. Our prediction for this East Division game will be a comfortable win for the Pittsburgh Penguins with at least a two-goal difference between the teams.
Washington Capitals vs. New York Islanders
The Capitals will face the Islanders in New York at the same time as the game in Boston. This is also a pretty close matchup as the 1st seed, which is the Capitals, will face the 2nd seed of the East Division. Both teams have lost their previous game as the Penguins beat the Islanders by 2-1 and the Rangers got a win over the Capitals by 5-2. The odds for the Capitals are +106 and -112 for the New York Islanders, making them the slight favorites for this match. We’re predicting that the Islanders will put an end to their two-game lose-streak with a hard-fought win against the Capitals.
