Italy vs Spain – Betting analysis
The game is played at Wembley Stadium in London, and although there should be a good sized crowd, no fans from either of the two countries have been allowed to enter the UK due to Covid travelling restrictions, so it’ll be interesting to see the atmosphere.
Italy has looked mighty strong this tournament and beat the number one FIFA ranked Belgium in their last outing, upping their overall unbeaten streak to 32 – yes that’s right, Italy hasn’t lost an international game since September 2018.
Their team is extremely well balanced with high quality players in all positions and they play great collective defense.
Prior to the Euro 2020 tournament, Italy was slated to finish the top of their group and had overall odds of around +1100 to win it all. Spain was in the same category and also set to win their group, they didn’t manage though but instead came in 2nd. Nonetheless they’ve managed to come through the playoffs and still be standing.
In their last 10 games, both of the teams have managed to score around 3.2 goals per game and there’s a good chance the teams don’t hold back in the game today either.
While Spain has managed to look quite a bit better than in their first group games, which saw efforts that left for something to be desired, we’re still not comfortable putting our confidence in them. Not vs an Italian side who’s just looked dominant throughout the Euros. This one is Italy’s to loose, and though we wouldn’t be against also be securing a push in case of a tie, we are going with Italy to win in regular playing time.

Can I bet on the result of a game if it's already started?
Yes sure, you just have to use the live betting section of the sportsbook you are using. All of our recommended sportsbooks feature live betting sections. -
If a favorite in a game has higher odds thanks to a handicap -1. What does handicap mean?
Betting on a team with a handicap makes up for more favorable odds. Handicap -1 means that the team you bet on starts the game with a goal behind, meaning they need to win the match with two goals or more for your bet to be a winner. Should they win by exactly one, your bet is a push and the stake returned to your account. -
I want to put my money on a team with really high odds. Is this a good idea?
There is a reason the odds are high: because chances are small that that team will win the match. So, you might win more, but the chances of winning are smaller. If you think the high odds doesn't represent the actual chance of the outcome, then of course you have a good bet on your hands. -
I want to combine the outcome with the exact score, is this possible?
You can combine such bets at most sportsbooks, just use the Bet Builder function offered by most of our recommended sportsbooks.
