It’s finally time for us to dig into the international Euro 2020 tournament. We know that quite a few of you are fans of the game and like to bet on soccer, so for the first round of the Euros we’ve been comparing picks from our own soccer analyst and matching them up with a few other sources.

Macedonia – Ukraine
The game will be played on neutral ground for both teams, taking place at the National Arena in Bucharest, Romania at 9 AM ET. Bucharest is within a fair distance of both Macedonia and Ukraine, so expect a decent number of fans for both teams.
Ukraine went into the Euros ranked 24th in the FIFA world rankings while Macedonia sits at 62nd and had to qualify through the extra playoff round.
In each of their last five games played in international competition, Ukraine has managed a two wins, two defeats and a single draw.
Macedonia has won three times, one draw and one loss.
Both teams lost their first-round matchups in the Euro 2020, Ukraine took in 3 goals and should be a bit worried about their defense, in 6 of the last 8 matches Ukraine has played there’s been scored more than 2.5 goals.
Nonetheless, Ukraine is the heavy favorite and they’ll need to secure points for a chance to move on from the group stages.

Denmark – Belgium
Danish star Christian Eriksen collapsed on the field in the first match and he’s out for the remainder of the tournament, and maybe football forever. This was a devastating blow for a hopeful Danish side who came into the Euro 2020 tournament ranked 10th in the world and playing the group matches at their home stadium in Copenhagen, including tonight’s game starting at 12 PM ET.
Outside of the obvious part of them missing their best offensive player, it must have also taken a big mental toll on the players to witness it all first hand and we think this is likely to have an effect on their performance as well.
Denmark ended up losing their first game vs Finland and will need at least a draw here to properly remain in competition to advance from the round.
Belgium on the other hand has been very good in their recent games, both vs Denmark whom they beat twice in 2020, as well as vs other competition. With their 3-0 win against Russia in their first game of the tournament, Belgium now sits on a 10 game unbeaten streak and their main scorer Romelo Lukaku looks to be in great form.
Eden Hazard also might be ready to play a full game as well as Kevin De Bruyne who'll be returning from a fractured cheek bone suffered in the Champions League final - Belgium starts their bid for the Euro 2020 championship today.

Netherlands vs Austria
World ranking 16th Holland takes on Austria on their home field at Johan Cruyff arena. The Austrian side is currently ranked 23rd so the overall statistical gap between the two teams isn’t far off.
Holland has scored 2.9 goals per game in their last 10 and Austria isn’t too far behind at 2.2 goals.
Both teams opened the Euro 2020 with a win, so this is a game for 1st place in the group and we expect a game where teams will pressure on to score.
