The Euro 2020 is still rounding up it’s final stage of group play before moving to a playoff bracket format and yesterday saw the most games played in one day. We had bets on three of these and came out on top once again, making it a good day for our betting pick model for the Euros.
In the afternoon game between Ukraine and Austria we had suggested a draw, but unfortunately Ukraine couldn’t manage to score a goal and Austria came away 1-0. The win secured a spot in the round of 16 as second place finisher in the group.
In the Euro 2020, the best overall third place finishers move on, but with no tie result the now 3rd place Ukraine doesn’t have enough points to be considered, a tough break on their end.
In the late games we had Denmark to win vs Russia and Belgium to win by 2 or more goals vs Finland.
Belgium started off the scoring in their game in the 65th minute but it got cancelled for offside in the video replay review. They got on the board 9 minutes later though and Kevin De Bruyne finished it off in the 84th minute for a 0-2 win – just what we needed.
The Belgian win set the conditions for Denmark to move on from their group with a win.
In a wild and emotional game, one of the most entertaining so far, the Danish side finished off the Russians 4-1 on their home field and our bet looked pretty good the whole way, improving our total result on Euro 2020 soccer bets.
Wins: 7
Loses: 4
Result: +170

Group E – Third round betting picks
In tonight’s games we have England going against the Czech Republic and Croatia vs Scotland.
While England and Czech Republic have secure the top two spots and will be playing for the best seeding heading into the round of 16, Croatia will need a win to have a chance at finishing as one of the best 3rd place finishers.
With both games being important, we’re hoping for another intense couple of matchups.
Betting pick: Croatia vs Scotland
Croatia needs the win badly here and on paper they have the better team, ranking 14th on the world FIFA list whereas Scotland only sits at 44th. They also have the best individual and former best player in the world, Luke Modric.
Both teams have had big trouble scoring so far, but Croatia did look better during the 2nd half of their last game vs Czech Republic than at any point so far. Facing Scotland side who’s also contending for a possible best 3rd position spot, we think Croatia will be able to take advantage of some of the gaps that are bound to happen. We’re going with the plus payout opportunity.
Best Bet:
Croatia to win +150
Betting pick: England vs Czech Republic
There’s a big gap between the two teams in the FIFA world rankings, England is the 4th ranked team in the world and one of the favorites heading into the tournament. Czech Republic on the other hand is all the way down at 40th. This has mostly been down to their lack of goal scoring, something they’ve improved a bit on so far in this tournament.
While it’s worth noting that Czech Republic did beat England when they played in same qualifier group, but we don’t think it’ll happen again and we do expect an English win, but maybe in a low scoring game which has been the norm so far for both teams.
We also wouldn't be surprised if top striker Harry Kane finally scores his first goal of the tournament, but we're a bit more lean on that pick.
Best Bet:
England to win -180

Can I bet on the result of a game if it's already started?
Yes sure, you just have to use the live betting section of the sportsbook you are using. All of our recommended sportsbooks feature live betting sections. -
If a favorite in a game has higher odds thanks to a handicap -1. What does handicap mean?
Betting on a team with a handicap makes up for more favorable odds. Handicap -1 means that the team you bet on starts the game with a goal behind, meaning they need to win the match with two goals or more for your bet to be a winner. Should they win by exactly one, your bet is a push and the stake returned to your account. -
I want to put my money on a team with really high odds. Is this a good idea?
There is a reason the odds are high: because chances are small that that team will win the match. So, you might win more, but the chances of winning are smaller. If you think the high odds doesn't represent the actual chance of the outcome, then of course you have a good bet on your hands. -
I want to combine the outcome with the exact score, is this possible?
You can combine such bets at most sportsbooks, just use the Bet Builder function offered by most of our recommended sportsbooks.
